New Orleans’ temperatures are slowly retreating from the intense August heat, and evenings are starting to cool down. Well, “cool” for New Orleans, that is.
With fall approaching, Broussard’s Restaurant presents Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 1st from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with plenty of German music, beers and food.
Look forward to German foods like currywurst and red cabbage, along with pork shank, apple strudel and more. The beer selection will include German-brewed Beck’s and St. Pauli Girl, as well as German-inspired American craft beers Abita Fall Fest, Brooklyn Oktoberfest, Samuel Adams Octoberfest and Saint Arnold Oktoberfest.
The band Prost and accordionist Jessie Reeks will provide the traditional German music, and guests can watch cooking demonstrations from Broussard’s Chef Gunter Preuss and even compete in a costume contest.
Mark your calendar now for October 1st, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Broussard’s is located at 819 Rue Conti in New Orleans.
