The annual Fried Chicken Festival takes place along the riverfront in Woldenberg Park. The free festival features more than 20 fabulous New Orleans restaurants serving up their very own versions of the Southern fried classic.
The festival will also come equipped with contests such as the fried chicken wing eating contest and the best fried chicken contest to be judged by local and national food writers, bloggers and critics. And of course, entertainment from some of the best bands around because it isn’t a New Orleans festival without live music.
With more than 130 licensed festivals, we understand the need to be choosy about the ones to attend, but if you ask us, this sounds like a must.
