One of the highlights of Tales of the Cocktail every year is the Spirited Dinners. This year, they take place on Thursday, July 18th and two of our favorite restaurants are among those playing host.
Free the Spirits 2.0
At 8 p.m., gather at Landry’s Seafood House in Jackson Brewery for Free the Spirits 2.0, a four-course meal prepared by Chef Jude Andrepont, paired with cocktails named after New Orleans' legendary neighborhoods.
Passed appetizers will include Blue Crab Hushpuppies, Shrimp Avocado Toast, Fried Green Tomatoes Acadiana and Crawfish Bread. The first course is a Maple BBQ Glazed Quail with a Garden District Punch. Follow that up with Cracklin' Redfish with a St. Claude Sour and still another course featuring a NY Strip Steak with The Uptown. For dessert, savor Rhum Cake with Roasted Pineapple Compote and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with Café Treme. Cost is just $99 per person (includes tax and gratutity). Seating is limited so purchase tickets now.
Bayou Rum Spirited Dinner
At 6 p.m., head to Coterie Restaurant & Oyster Bar for creative Bayou Rum Cocktails paired with great cuisine. Cost is $75 per person. Menu and reservation link coming soon.
